Wichita Police Foundation was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization that seeks to maintain the excellence of the WPD and improve overall public safety in Wichita. The Foundation seeks to assist the Wichita Police Department in staying on par with training, strategical and technological advances that are constantly improving. The Wichita Police Foundation is a Kansas not for profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation works closely with the Department to develop a strategy for its role of support.
Public safety cannot rest on the shoulders of law enforcement agencies alone. Now, more than ever, the police need our support as well. Please partner with us by contributing as generously as you can. Your donation to the Wichita Police Foundation is tax deductible. As a public charity, the Foundation is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors can deduct contributions under IRC Section 170. The Foundation also is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under IRC Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522.
Engaging our community. Supporting our officers. Strengthening Wichita.
